“On a cool day in November, after waiting for the soil to dry enough from the record breaking rains, many people gathered to follow behind the horses as the plow upended the sweet potatoes planted last June. Part of the harvest each year is set aside for making our Harvest Spice ice cream, especially for the Homestead Fair.”
