Homestead Meat Market is working lots of extra hours to produce enough hot dogs, sausages and hamburgers to feed all of the expected guests to this year’s Fair! Once again our cooks are cranking out 2,000 Maple Waffle Cones, each one rolled by hand. All together they used 50# of flour, 36# of butter and 24 quarts of real maple syrup amongst other ingredients. (Yes, each cone contains nearly 2 teaspoons of butter.) I wish we could blog the smell! Yum!!
A happy crew of cooks just turned 240 lbs of corn masa into 3,000 tamales in preparation for this year’s fair. Stop in at the Mexican food booth in Food Court A for a Mexican tamale plate with charro beans and Spanish rice.
