This notice explains information collected through homesteadfair.com. A ticketing provider, payment processor, giveaway administrator, social network, map, video or other linked service may collect information under its own privacy notice.
Information you provide
Depending on the feature you use, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, message, saved schedule choices, ticket or order reference, giveaway-entry information, eligibility details and communications preferences. Payment-card information should be entered only into the authorized payment provider and is not intended to be collected directly by this website.
Information collected automatically
On the production website, analytics and advertising technologies may collect page visits, links and buttons used, approximate location derived from an IP address, device and browser information, referral source, campaign identifiers and similar usage information. Current site integrations may include PostHog, Microsoft Clarity, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta, The Trade Desk and Drip. Some providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage or comparable technologies and may receive online identifiers.
How information is used
We use information to operate and secure the site; provide requested information; manage tickets, parking, schedules and visitor services; administer an authorized giveaway; verify eligibility and contact winners; respond to questions; measure and improve the Fair experience; prevent fraud; comply with law; and, where permitted, communicate about Homestead Fair.
Sharing
We may share necessary information with service providers that support hosting, analytics, communications, ticketing, payments, promotion administration, prize fulfillment, professional advice and security; with prize providers and promotion partners identified in applicable rules; and with authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety and site integrity. We do not promise that every provider is located in Texas.
Giveaway information
Giveaway records may be retained to validate entries, select and notify potential winners, document acceptance or forfeiture, issue legally required tax forms, publish a winner list as stated in the Official Rules, resolve disputes and demonstrate compliance. Publicity use beyond legally required winner information will follow the applicable rules and law.
Choices
You may use available cookie or browser controls to limit certain technologies, although some features may be affected. Marketing messages should include the applicable opt-out method. Requests concerning information held directly by Homestead Fair may be sent to info@homesteadfair.com. We may need to verify a request and may retain information where required or permitted by law.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. A future giveaway will state its minimum age in its Official Rules.
Security and retention
We use reasonable measures intended to protect information, but no Internet system is completely secure. We retain information for the period reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including operational, legal, accounting, fraud-prevention and recordkeeping needs.
